Outstanding Chief Administrator Award

The Outstanding Chief Administrator Award recognizes an active chief executive officer (President or Chancellor) of a member Community College Board. Previous recipients are ineligible. A cover letter of support from the Board is required.

Nominations must address the following for each nominee:

  • What has the chief executive officer initiated or helped to develop in the area of innovative programs used in community colleges?
  • In what capacity has this chief executive officer served as a member of a technical or special committee serving the community college concept and how did this effort affect the total college program at the community, state, regional or national level?
  • How has the chief executive officer demonstrated a “caring attitude” toward the board of trustees, administrators, faculty and students?
  • How has the chief executive officer been active in developing, organizing or supporting state and/or national community college education associations?
  • What has the CEO published in the area of community college educational concepts?
  • What other specific awards, honors or recognition has this chief executive officer received within the community college, community, state or nation in recognition of their leadership?
  • What outstanding characteristics of this CEO motivated you to nominate him or her?
