Outstanding Faculty Award

The Outstanding Faculty Award recognizes an active full-time instructor of a member Community College Board. Previous recipients are ineligible. A cover letter of support from the Board is required.

Nominations must address the following for each nominee:

  • In what way has this educator demonstrated excellence in teaching (encouraged students, methodology, etc.)?
  • What has this educator initiated and helped to develop in the area of innovative programs used in community colleges?
  • In what capacity has this educator served as a member of a technical or special committee serving the community college concept, and how did this effort affect the total college program in the community, state, region or nation?
  • How has this educator provided leadership in helping to solve challenges for community colleges?
  • How has this educator been active in developing, organizing or supporting state and/or national community college associations?
  • What other awards, honors or recognitions has this educator received within the community college or community in recognition of their leadership?
