This summer's conference will be hosted by Iowa Lakes Community College on July 25 - 27, 2012.

2011 IACCT Annual Conference

A successful annual IACCT conference concluded on July 29 at the Des Moines Area Community College campus in Ankeny.  Highlights included Arne Duncan, U.S. Secretary of Education and Walter Bumphus, President and CEO of AACC, as well as a number of concurrent panel discussions.

IACCT Awards

Each year community college staff and board members are nominated in five categories. The 2011 winners are:

Iowa Outstanding Administrator/Manager Award:  Kim Linduska of
                           Des Moines Area CC
John P. Kibbie Award:  Mark Crimmins, Board President of Iowa Central CC
Iowa Outstanding Support Staff Award:  Arbe Bareis of Kirkwood CC
Iowa Outstanding Chief Administrator Award: 
                          Jim Lindenmayer, President of Indian Hills CC
Iowa Outstanding Faculty member Award:  Robert Anderson of
                          Des Moines Area CC

These people were honored at the dinner and IACCT Awards Banquet on July 28.  Congratulations to everyone!
