Trustee Education: Promising Practices for Welcoming New Board Members

Mark your calendars for December 2 at 9 a.m. to join our Trustee Education presentation: Welcoming New Board Members.

This session will address several key questions: Why does orienting new board members matter? What practices help onboard new members? What opportunities and obstacles must many new board members and organizations navigate—both alone and together? How will we know if our onboarding has been successful?

Our session will be lead by Deann Cook, President & CEO of United Ways of Iowa, and Paul Thelen, Director of the Larned A. Waterman Iowa Nonprofit Resource Center at the University of Iowa.

This will be presented during our IACCT Board meeting via Zoom, and all Trustees, Presidents, and Board Secretaries/President's Assistants are encouraged to join. If you can't join live, we will record these sessions, and they will be available on the IACCT website's online membership portal.

Look out next week for the registration and Zoom information.
